Christmas Morning Egg Casserole

"This was the casserole my mama made yearly for Christmas morning.".
Initial recipe makes 8 servings.
  • cooking spray (such as Pam ®).
  • 2 cups diced prepared pork.
  • 2 tablespoons butter, or as required.
  • 7 pieces bread, crusts took out.
  • 1/2 pound American cheese, cubed.
  • 3 cups milk.
  • 6 eggs, defeated.
  • 3/4 tsp dry mustard.
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt.
PREPARATION: 20 minutes /COOK: 1 hr / ALL SET IN: 9 hrs 20 mins
Spray a 9x13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
Spread ham right into the bottom of prepared casserole dish. Butter one side of each bread slice; cut pieces into dices. Arrange buttered bread cubes atop pork; layer American cheese over bread cubes.
Whisk milk, eggs, mustard powder, and also salt with each other in a bowl; pour over American cheese layer. Cover recipe with aluminum foil and also cool 8 hrs or overnight.Preheat stove to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Remove aluminum foil from casserole.Cook in the preheated oven up until cheese is thawed and eggs are embeddeded in the middle, about 1 hour.
